Thanks for visiting Finders!
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favour from the LORD.” (Proverbs 18:22 – NKJ 1982)
The name Finders was inspired by the above verse. When we were single, we were encouraged by this verse that God desires to give us good things in His perfect timing. The name Finders also speaks of a deeper human desire for connection and community. Through our service and ministry, we hope for you to find a like-minded community of sojourners like yourselves.
Early Beginnings
We are 2 good friends who have had a more uncommon experience in finding or being found by our husbands. We got married in our mid-30s and understand the challenges of finding a suitable date within the Christian community.
While J. was matchmade by her father to his promising, young friend from his cell group, K. and her husband connected online (while being 14376.67km apart). Many letters, emails, skype calls (those were the days before Zoom and Gmeet!) later, they finally met in person in Singapore and the rest is not history, but an ongoing story.
Because of the unusual circumstances in which we met our husbands; even as both of us enter a different season in our lives of marriage and parenthood, we continue to have a burden for singles and specifically in bringing them together.
The idea of bringing together our single and eligible friends and friends of friends (mostly by word-by-mouth) came about during the isolation period of COVID.
Some 100+ one-to-one interviews and a few small group dates later, Finders was launched. We hope that as we continue to grow, we will fulfill the purpose for which this service was designed for.
May you be similarly inspired to trust that He has a good and perfect plan for you. If that includes marriage, great. And even if it doesn’t in the meantime, we still hope that this journey is made sweeter with the good company of friends who care about you.
